Well, I’m about to start riding a motorcycle again. The last time I was on a motorcycle was 20 years ago. My family needs a second vehicle. A motorcycle will be cheap on gas, cheap on insurance ($30/month for full coverage), and a whole lot of fun.
I’m really looking forward to this. The last time I rode, I had a Kawasaki Vulcan 500. It really was to slow for my needs. I could barely get it up to 60 MPH. The bike I’m getting now should be much better. It is a 2013 BMW g650gs.
I’ve already purchased a decent helmet, riding jacket, and gloves. My next purchases will be some sort of luggage and a bike lift. The luggage is for carrying things (like a small sack of groceries). The lift is for doing maintenance (oil changes, chain adjustment, and chain cleaning). My plan is to eventually use this bike for one man camping and landscape photography trips.
